Christie Tait is extremely passionate about advocating for improved accuracy and management of headache disorders.  Outside of clinical care, she delivers educational programming to healthcare providers with an interest in headache and migraine management, volunteers time to Migraine Canada, and hosts a headache blog – www.christietait.com

When she is not doing headache-related work, Christie is usually busy running around with her 4 children (and dog!) and can usually be found with them in one of our east-end parks or at the beach collecting rocks.

Specialties:

Christie’s area of clinical expertise is the diagnosis and management of headache disorders and concussion.  She uses a holistic approach to patient care that integrates behavioural and lifestyle strategies with pharmacological treatments.

Christie has completed a Master Injector program through Allergan and is one of a small number of healthcare providers with expertise in treating chronic migraine with Botox.  Christie also uses Botox to manage TMJ dysfunction (jaw pain) and hyperhidrosis of the axillae (excessive underarm sweating).

Christie is currently completed a certification to facilitate mindfulness for chronic pain and stress reduction through the University of Toronto and will be bringing these services to clients at Restore Integrative Health soon.
